As you know, our family has been doing a candida cleanse. I have to tell you, I am getting tired of hamburgers. So to mix things up a bit, and get in some healing bone broth, I created this recipe. My daughter and husband tried it out last weekend while I was gone. It was a big hit with everyone (there was very little left for me to try when I got home).  I hope your family enjoys it as well.

You might want to double the recipe 😉

Meatball Soup

1 lb ground beef

1 T sausage seasoning (I used this)

½ c chopped greens

2 T coconut oil

1 large onion, diced

5 carrots, chopped

2 c greens, chopped

2 T sausage seasoning

Salt and pepper

¼ c fresh cilantro, chopped

  1. Saute’ onion in coconut oil 10 min or until soft
  2. Meanwhile, make meatballs
  3. Place meatballs and carrots in the pot with the onions
  4. Add in broth and seasonings
  5. Bring to a boil, then simmer 20 min, or until meatballs are cooked through
  6. Gently stir in greens
  7. Simmer 3 min until greens are wilted
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro and avocado
