The last six weeks have been a crazy blend of vacation, stay-cation, home projects and lazy family time at home. A break from the computer is always good self-care and I love having unscheduled time with my family. Now I am happy for them to go back to school and for all of us to find routines again. We are ready for fall!

Before we move onto new things, here a glimpse of what our family did this summer:

We camped, played at the beach, did swim lessons,  hiked, fished with Grandpa, and went to a 50s sock hop with Great-Grandpa. Shew. No wonder I am tired That was a lot of fun to cram into summer.

There was also the less fun such as redoing floors due to mold (twice!), fixing the fence, reorganizing the back patio, and canning. While not fun, there is a great sense of accomplishment as I sit on this newly done back patio and type.

As fall arrives, I am thinking of what I would like to focus on in the next few months. Continuing self-care is a must. This includes movement, healthy eating, scheduling neglected appointments, and taking time for quiet. Professionally, I will be growing my business, volunteering, and creating a sugar detox program that will begin in a few weeks. More information on that to come. I also have some new recipes in the works, the first of which will be sent out in Monday’s email newsletter (cinnamon rolls!).

What projects do you have in mind for the coming season. How can I best support you in reaching your goals? Comment below or contact me via Facebook.

I always enjoy the things you do in the name of self care. I think of self care much more often now because of you 🙂
